Episode 20 - Jim Bartschi ( Scott Rods)
Episode 20 - We were stoked to have been offered the opportunity to talk with Jim Bartschi on this episode. Jim is the president and chief rod designer for Scott Fly rods. we spoke to Jim while he was in NZ to launch the new Scott Sector range. Jim is a very cool dude, super down to earth, a very good communicator and is not shy of getting technical with us. Please enjoy the show.....we did!!

Great interview boys .. l love my Scott Rods ..l still have my Quinney 10 Wt Heliply that I'm still using today have a S3S 12 WT Bluewater. That has been punished ..the Sector sounds like a bomb !!!

Hi boys hope this finds you well and fit ..This first subject is a great question .While fishing in Qld l had a diary for each dam including season moon phase barometric pressure wind direction . Lake percentage This was formulated over a period of time ..once practiced and calibrated ..it was a firm tool .If something changed as you said with weather change ...You note it ...My diary included flys used .depth. time of day etc ....l tried to avoid fishing on the weekends ...l had a fairly flexible time table ..Now that I'm in Victoria l apply this same principle in my Favourite dams ..so far so good ..although the drought is making things hard to predict .
