Episode 93 - I am really struggling to find the words to describe how good this show is, let me start by letting you know who Dan is. Dan Frasier is from South Dakota USA and is a Guide, Author ( The Orvis Beginners Guide to Carp Flies), magazine columnist and soon to be host of the Gink and Gasoline podcast Tales on Tails. To say Dan is a good communicator is an understatement, and to put that together with his knowledge of his favourite prey Carp, you have a guy who can cover everything you would ever want to know about Carp. Lets face it, Carp can be a polarizing species, even if you haven't woken up yet to the awesomeness that is Carp, I'm sure as a fisherman of any species, you will greatly appreciate how Dan breaks down his species of choice on the show. Dan goes into detail with fly selection, techniques, environment observation and most interestingly, the physiology of Carp. There is a deep lesson in this show for anyone who looks to further their fishing skills, this is one of our best yet!!

On Episode 92 - We chat to Steve Peach who is based in and around Sydney. Steve is a true gentleman of the sport who's eagerness to share is easy to see. For those that don't know, Steve has a very well stocked YouTube channel called "Peachy Fly Fishing", it is well worth checking out. We chat to Steve on the show about his YouTube Chanel and about the information he shares regarding Sydney based fishing for species such as Bream, Bass and Trout. Many of our fans will also recall the recent discussions about scent and the polarisation this has sprouted in the fly fishing community. It is Steve who most respectfully created a massive discussion on a Facebook page called Bream on Fly where a lot of views were thrown around regarding using scent and our views on the act. On this show we talk to Steve about that post and we then share our personal philosophies regarding scented flies in an attempt to put the subject to bed.

On Episode 90 we chat to Steve Morgan who is the director of the ABT tournaments and Fishing Monthly magazine. In addition to the Steve's high level of success within the Tournament scene, Steve is an avid fly fisho who has held multiple records for long Tail Tuna form as far back as the 90's. Steve has also caught a stack of Threadfin, Jewfish and Bass on fly in SEQ which is where Steve is from. On this show we talk about the on flow of tournaments, what they mean to the industry as a whole and how they raise the standard of fishing for everyone.

On episode 89 we go into deep discussion regarding eyes on flies. Eyes are so so much more than an aesthetic item. If your one of those guys who proudly announces " Flies don't need eyes, the fish don't care" you might want to tune out of this one.
Technically we only just scratched the surface, but what we do talk about is the different types, how they apply to certain flies, how they act in the water, glues, tying methods, what material suit eyes and even which ones don't. 
We genuinely hope you learn something but even better would be to have your creativity stimulated so you can get on the vice and create something that acts in the water as you intended it too.

One this our 85th show, we venture into one of the squirliest subjects that we have had to talk about on this podcast and that is how to navigate the bullshit on Social Media when your learning fly fishing. We are joined on this how by SEQ flyfishing lord Sammy Hine who recently converted to fly fishing from spin in this time of social media dominating the source of information for new comers to our sport. Episode 84 - The Mamrot Chronicles episode 1.

Episode 84- If your not a fan of our banter type episodes, then this one may not be for you, but you should give it a go anyway, because in amongst this low brow humour and VB drinking, is some pearls of wisdom from two brothers called  Dan and Jarod Mamrot.
Dan and Jarod are from Melbourne and are seasoned up streamers. Both of these guys are very experienced with trout and one of them is looking not offend the whole entire cod on fly community.
